Gite/B&B with pool - South West France-Lot Region

Girard, our small hamlet in Duravel, is situated at the foot of wooded hillsides sheltering it from northerly winds thus ensuring a sunny and warm climate. A vast plain bordered by the River Lot spreads in a southerly direction, consisting primarily of century's old family vineyards.

The surrounding countryside with its hills consisting of acres of woods, green pastures and vineyards offer numerous possibilities for walks.

Experience the relaxed pace of the Lot Region. Charming, sleepy villages are not hard to find. All offering something special. Vineyards grace the rolling hills and fine cuisine, fine wines and local markets are in abundance. While you're away, La Maison Bleue is the perfect place to consider home.

La Maison Bleue offers a relaxed atmostphere in which to unwind. We offer superb Self Catering and B&B accommodation in South West France. Our rooms are modern, tastefully furnished and spacious. There is a larger BBQ area, a smaller terrace with comfy loungers, hammock and a wonderful swimming pool situated in the sunniest part of garden. 

Girard is situated between Puy L'Eveque - a medieval village and Duravel (see History of Duravel in Local Information Section). We are just over an hour from Bergerac Airport on the D811, six hours driving time from Paris and under two hours from Toulouse. It is an ideal base and conveniently located if you're considering househunting.

Gite Accommodation

The Gite is fully equipped with air-conditioning, washing machine, cooker, microwave, all kitchen utensils, espresso coffee maker and a lovely modern dining area. The main living quarters has TV and DVD player, large seating area which leads onto the front balcony. WiFi is also available in the Gite.

Upstairs on the Mezzanine floor is the bedroom and en-suite bathroom with hairdryer. Towels and fluffy bathrobes are supplied. There is also a single futon, for additional guests and a walk in wardrobe, with iron, vacuum and extra bedding and a picnic hamper.

A welcome food basket awaits you on your arrival, including wine, cheese, pate, chocolate, French bread and fruit selection!

Tea, coffee, fruit juice and milk are also placed in the Gite upon arrival at no cost.

Optionally, email us your grocery list and we'll be happy to pick up your items and place them in the Gite, just settle with the final invoice.

The Gite can also be booked for less than 7 days, and the cost will be worked out on a pro rata basis.  Although the Gite is self catering, breakfast can be provided at a cost of €7 per person.

Blue Room - B&B

The Blue Room is the larger of the two B&B's and has an extremely comfortable double bed, ensuite bathroom with corner bath, towels and soft fluffy white dressing gowns. There is also a small sitting room area with pull-out sofabed, for additional guests. The room also has a small TV and DVD player, with French TV and plenty of DVDs. There is also tea and coffee making facilities for your use. The Blue Room has it's own private entrance and opens out onto the Back Terrace, where breakfast can be served, weather permitting, if requested.

Mid Season - Apr/May/Oct - 65 euros per night
High Season - June - 70 euros per night
Peak Season - July/Aug/Sept - 75 euros per night

Children 10 or under stay free, please add an additional 15 euros for child over 10, max 2 children.

Coco Room B&B

The Coco Room has a double bed with en-suite bathroom. Towels and fluffy bathrobes are also provided. There is coffee and tea making facilities in the room. The Coco Room has it's own private entrance which opens out onto the Back Terrace, where breakfast can be served weather permitting, if requested.  The room can also be made up to accommodate two single beds, please let us know which you prefer.

Mid Season - Apr/May/Oct - 55 euros per night
High Season - June - 60 euros per night
Peak Season - July/Aug/Sept - 65 euros per night

Main House Dining Room

The main dining room is located downstairs in the main house. Breakfast will be served for B&B guests in the dining room and/or an evenng meal, if requested. Breakfast can also be served outside, weather permitting. There is a large stone BBQ area at the side of the house, and also a small portable one, which guests are free to use.

An evening meal with wine, can be requested for your arrival at an additional cost of 20 euros per person including wine.

Picnic

We can also provide packed lunches and a picnic basket if requested in advance at an additional extra cost. €40 for 4 people and €20 for 2. Picnic will include; bread, cheeses, pates, fruit, chocolate and a bottle of wine.
